I'm Brett. Here's Who I Am.
Not a pitch. Not a bio. Just the honest version of how I got here and why this matters to me.
I Grew Up Watching People Build Things That Lasted
I grew up on a family farm in central Iowa. From as far back as I can remember, the lesson was simple: work hard, keep your word, and take care of people. Nobody gave you a medal for it — it was just how you lived.
That foundation shaped everything I did after. I built a career in operational leadership — running supply chain, operations management, and warehouse automation for organizations running multi-million-dollar projects. I've led highly complex cross-functional teams through $50M+ initiatives, earned my PMP certification, and hold a Lean Six Sigma certification. Not classroom credentials — earned in the field, fixing real problems.
Along the way I got into real estate — buying, renovating, and managing properties in the KC area. That's where I really started to understand what a well-run business looks like from the inside, and what it takes to protect something that someone else built.
Now I'm in my mid-40s. My wife and I have four kids. I'm rooted here in Olathe, and I'm ready for the next chapter — running something that matters, in a community I care about. That's why I'm looking to buy a great trades business and dedicate myself to making it even better.
I'm Not Just a Buyer. I'm an Operator.
The difference between me and a financial buyer is simple — I'm going to show up and run this thing. Here's what that looks like in practice.
Grew Up on a Farm in Iowa
Learned early that honest work, integrity, and taking care of your people aren't optional — they're the whole point. Those values drive every decision I make.
Supply Chain & Operations Leadership
Built and led operational systems in supply chain, warehouse automation, and operations management. Led cross-functional teams on projects exceeding $50M in complexity — from planning through execution.
PMP & Lean Six Sigma Certified
Formal credentials that back up what I've done in practice — disciplined project management, process improvement, and waste elimination. When I take over a business, these aren't buzzwords. They're how I actually run things.
Real Estate Investing in KC
Bought, renovated, and managed investment properties across the Kansas City metro. Developed a deep understanding of local markets, contractors, and what quality looks like.
Ready for This Next Chapter
Mid-40s, settled in Olathe, four kids at home. I'm not doing this to build a portfolio. I want one great business to put everything I've got into for the next 20 years.
"When I buy your business, I'm not handing it to a management team and checking in quarterly. I'm there. Every week. Learning it, growing it, and taking care of the people who make it work."
Family Is the Whole Reason
My wife and I have four kids growing up here in Olathe. Everything I'm doing is about building something we're proud of — something that lasts, that serves this community, and that I can look back on and say I did right.
Three Things I Won't Compromise On
Honesty
I'll tell you what I'm thinking. If something doesn't work for me, I'll say so. And when I say I'll do something, I do it.
People First
The crew, the customers, the community — they come before any number on a spreadsheet. A business is only as good as the people in it.
Long-Term Thinking
I'm not here for a quick flip. I want to look back in 20 years and know I grew something worth being proud of — for me and for you.
Now You Know Me. Let's Get to Know Each Other.
If this resonates — if you've been looking for a buyer who'll actually give a damn — I'd love to hear about what you've built.
